A Retro Giveaway from the Big Apple

I couldn't think of a better way to start the school holidays then to have a giveaway. Yeah!! I always love a giveaway and I have the perfect little companion for all you vintage loving gals that I purchased when I was at the Brooklyn Flea in NYC earlier this year.

How cute is this, a mini retro zip up suitcase!  I use mine for everyday as a portable office, it fits my laptop perfectly with room for other bits and pieces.  I get lots of ohhs and ahhs from other retro loving lovelies when I take her out.  I can think of loads of other uses for this funky little suitcase, it would make the perfect statement handbag, a craft bag or cosmetic bag.  I love the vibrant purple retro fabric, and the tan vinyl trim is so 70's I go all goosebumps when I look at her.
Lucky I have two, one for me and one for one lucky you!

How to win this lovely is easy.  Tell me how you would use her in this blog's comment box, if you don't already follow my blog, please follow along for your chance to win.  Pop on over to my  Rowantree Design facebook  page and like me, follow me on instagram, Robertatakespics.......and, please I would really love you to tell all your followers about my fabulous giveaway so perhaps you could mention this giveaway in your next post.

PS.  I will post it anywhere in the world, that sounds amazing, doesn't it!
PSS.  I am eagerly waiting, sitting on top of my computer to meet all my lovely new followers!!!

Good Luck!

  12. Please put my name down for this Roberta, I would so love to win it. It would be my running-away-from-home case when I feel the need to escape for a little while. I'm a follower, but I don't do the facebook thing, or the instagram thing for that mattter (gosh it's a wonder I write a blog!) but I will post about it on my blog, if I write a post before you draw a winner. When will that be btw?

  16. Wowzers that case is stunning, I would use it to display packs of fabric scraps and haberdashery when I do stalls at craft fairs, my stall would be beautifully styled with that as a prop - and I could carry all my bits and bobs there and back in it! I follow your blog and I now like you on facebook too! Thanks so much for the chance to win it! Rachel x

  17. Her beauty takes my breath away. And the fact she is from NYC...oh my. What a story! I can think of about 5 ways I would use her, but more than likely she would house my enormous ribbon collection and sit pretty on my dresser. Oh and my NYC postcard would go well in there too ;-)

  18. I adore the "fleas" and what a treasure you found there!!! Such a treasure could be used a gazillion ways, but being a knitter---and one always looking for just the perfect tote around.....I would use it for larger projects because it would easily carry (prop up!!) knitting books. I have an adorable little Debbie BLiss aran cardigan I started too long ago--fortunately in a very large size--for one of my granddaughters; it's been languishing because I haven't been able to tote-and-go with it. This would be perfect!!!! Thanks for offering!!!

  19. Oh please count me it Roberta! I would fill it with biscuits and tea and sneek into the garden without the kids finding me and have my own "quiet" afternoon tea *in my dreams*!!!

  20. Oh count me in too please, it is gorgeous. Definitely a crochet pattern, hooks and wool stash holder that I could so stylishly swan up to swimming lessons with to sit and hook away. mel x

  21. Oh Roberta, I LOVE her! I would use her every single day. I'm about to have baby no. 5 and simply cannot do another traditional baby bag. She is the perfect size and would take care of all my daily stuff and replace the 2 smaller bags I trudge around with at the moment. I'd fill her with my enormous purse, nappy wallet, my latest knitting creation, snacks and a book. Mel x

  22. Roberta! I love it! What a perfectly awesome 'work' bag it could make! Laptop, paperwork and more I could pop on this little beauty!
I can just see myself swanning around the city warding off envious eyes! Ha ha!
I have to go to Sydney for work at the end of October... What a perfect little carry on bag!
So many uses! And Abi (my daughter) could become quite retrotastic when she's older!
BTW one of the other little dresses of yours that I always loved has just been snapped up by meeee in a size 2! Already have one of your designs in a size 1 for this summer and now we are well prepared for summer 2013/14!
