Brrrrr. How cold is it today lovelies? I have the slow cooker on with a Hungarian Goulash (totally delicious) bubbling away, the kitchen smells delicious and the house is warm and toastie. Looking outside, it's grey skies and drizzling rain. Pooh! Rowan and I have to brave it
In the meantime the thought of wrapping my doona around myself before I brave the grey day is very appealing...
Vision.........
Chanel, don't I look great
I need a poncho!!! ASAP
A colourful and cosy poncho is perfect for a day like today. The brights to brighen your day and the cozy part to make braving it bearable! AND the poncho has been making it's way back on the catwalk for A/W 12....I've browsed the net looking at some possibilites.......
Little Joe Woman My favourite, and sadly not in the budget
Chloe I would die for this (well not really die) pretend I don't like it at all, so totally not in the budget.
I think making one will be loads of fun so here a few crochet patterns here and some knitted patterns here but I'm leaning towards sewing this pattern here, super easy and I can make one for every day of the week. I'll keep you posted!
I love Poncho's and have a couple, I could do with one today as well...Enjoying reading your blog...
ReplyDeleteMandy
Thanks Mandy, Get those poncho out of the cupboard and flaunt them!
DeleteI love ponchos! Country Road did two gorgeous ones this winter but both styles sold out nationwide in hours apparently... Love the Little Joe one as well! Have fun styling the kids room! xx
ReplyDeleteI'm off after the busines end of day straight o CR. x
DeleteThe little Joe poncho is my favourite aswell... Had goulash the other night, a perfect winter warmer.... also lots of soups been bubbling away lately... just finished of some cauliflower soup! yum :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be on he look out if that LJ poncho goes on sale! x
DeleteYour totally on my wavelength Roberta! I bought a poncho made from an old grey/navy tartan rug at the encraftment market on the weekend and I AM IN TOTAL LOVE with it. that and slow cooker beef bourginon (sp?). Goulash? Don't think I've even ever tried it, think I'm gonna look that up... x
ReplyDeleteSorry, but it's been boiling here today, the UK has finally had a few days of nice weather. That said, it will doubtless be freezing again by the weekend and the little Joe poncho would be my choice too ;-)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just perfect a touch of vintage/hippy...I want. I wish!
DeleteHi there, thanks for popping over to my blog, good to meet you! Great post - i love the little joe one. It's pretty warm in England at the moment but those photos make me wish autumn was here!
ReplyDeleteHi Gillian, enjoy hose warm days, they only last a while I hear. AT least you have plenty of time to find your perfect poncho for when it gets cooler. x
DeleteAs promised, I am popping over and checking out your blog too! Thanks for calling over my way.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'll be calling back quite often, especially if I get to see more of the stylings that you will be doing in that bedroom in Paddington! I'm sure it will be divine. Sounds fun!
Thankfully I'm still acclimatising from down south, so I'm finding the days still quite warm,
much to everyones else's disgust, because they, like you are freezing! lol
So no need for any ponchos for me yet, they do look very nice. Go on, why not spoil yourself and go the the Little Joe Woman one, that's my pick too! Love the colours.
Have a great day Roberta.
