Well hello, what a lovely surprise, Hazel from 'The Hut Chronicles' has nominated my blog for a Liebster Award.
Some background: Liebster is a German word, meaning favourite, dearest or beloved and the Liebster is awarded by bloggers to other, newer bloggers, who have fewer than 200 followers, to spread the word and help the new(er)bies gain wider recognition. The award comes with four conditions that each recipient must satisfy when accepting:
- Choose five up-and-coming blogs (with fewer than 200 followers) to award the Liebster to.
- Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
- Post the award on your blog. List the bloggers you are giving the award to with links to their sites. Leave comments on their blogs so they know about the award.
- Share 5 random facts about yourself that people don't know about you
Five random facts ( I could probably bore you with one hundred)
I love fishing, here I am on the beautiful Coromandel coast, North island New Zealand, I also love a cold glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc
I am a very keen and competitive sailor. I am a very good helms woman. I have completed numerous coastal and ocean races. Here I am sailing home from Pittwater, the sailor and I love taking our boat up there for a long weekend.
Hugo on the left and Louis on the right, my crazy poodles. I love these guys!
I am very proud of my sweet peas, I love my garden, and spend as much tie as I can making it beautiful.
This is a picture of my father Robert, second from the left playing trombone. Robert Rowan was a very famous jazz trombonist, he played with Louis Armstrong and a host of other famous jazz musicians. Robert died when I was three weeks of age from melanoma cancer. I regret that I never got to meet him and have missed him every day of my life.
My five nominations are and I hope you accept. I love blogging and have made such wonderful connections over the past year or so (must check how long I have been blogging) and have enjoyed the journey so far......
1. Jody from Lemon Rhodes
2. Kate from Another Donkey Design
3. Juliet from Tartankiwi
