Rowan's Bad Hair Day

Oh no, I can't believe I look like this.  Seriously Mum! What have you done to me?

Oh yukky, I really hate it.  I look like Jim Carey in 'Dumber and Dumber'.

Let me just have another look......

Yep, just what I thought, I have a really, really bad doo.

What will I do (sorry for the pun)?  Don a hat for a couple of weeks?

Ohhh so embarassed! Cant look anymore.

Some doo, you did on me mum!  I'll just take it on the chin this time.  Can't wait to show Nan, then you'll really be in trouble.  Where is she going to take me looking like this!

How many of you lovely mums have done this to your children.  Like, I'm only going to snip his fringe to keep his hair out of his eyes and that one little snip ends up looking like this!  I'd love to hear your stories of home haircuts and love to see some pics if you'd email them my way.

  1. Oh no! The poor wee thing! You're right, he definitely doesn't look impressed.

Our wee guy hasn't had his first haircut yet- we specialise in baldy babies. I will try to remember this if I ever get the urge to take the scissors to his fringe though.

    1. Rowan may not have been impressed, but I was rolling around the floor laughing! Luckily he is hanging out with me at the bach this week, hiding out!

  2. Oh no! poor little man! a trip to the hairdressers maybe able to salvage it ;) I always cut my kids hair, but its my job, so no bad experiences yet. It's when they cut it themselves that I worry about! x

    1. Hairdresser's or shave? I think we can live with it hiding out at the beach for some time. As a hairdresser you must see some funny things.

  5. I did this to my little boy as well. Mainly because he wouldn't sit still long enough in the chair and the poor hairdresser did the best she could. The old saying 10 days between a good and bad hair cut. His was more like 2 months.
